COVID-19 Update for 2/25/26
Our take
45 cases this week. 33 on Oahu, 4 in Maui County, 3 on Hawaii Island, 5 on Kauai.
7-day positivity is 0.7%
5 in the hospital and 0 in ICU
Looks like they figured out their vendor issues. The numbers look as good as they've ever been. Flu is coming down, but it's still out there. Influenza B is around still yet (its season is usually about now, later than the first flu season). But other than that, we look okay for now folks. Take care everyone!

- COVID-19 Update for May 2026We'll see how this goes monthly - unless things start to look worrisome again. (Let's hope not!) 29 cases this past week: 24 on Oahu, 2 in Maui County, 1 on Hawaii Island, and 2 on Kauai. 7-day positivity rate is 0.7% 2 in the hospital and 0 in ICU No surprise: things are looking pretty good. - COVID-19 Update for 4/16/26Oops! I forgot yesterday 38(-6) cases this week. 33 on Oahu, 1 in Maui County, 3 on Hawaii Island, and 1 on Kauai. 7-day positivity rate is 0.5%(-0.4%) 1(-1) in the hospital and 0(-1) in ICU Links: https://health.hawaii.gov/coronavirusdisease2019/ https://health.hawaii.gov/coronavirusdisease2019/hawaii-hospitalization-metrics/ https://www.cdc.gov/nwss/rv/COVID19-statetrend.html https://health.hawaii.gov/docd/disease-types/respiratory-viruses/ So... I am thinking of suspending these for a while. Things have thankfully been quiet for a while. I am thinking that I'll keep an eye on things and if the cases go like >100 or something or positivity spikes or something like that that I'll start these up again. Let me know what you think.
