COVID-19 Update for 2/25/26

Our take

As of February 25, 2026, Hawaii reports 45 new COVID-19 cases this week, with 33 on Oahu, 4 in Maui County, 3 on Hawaii Island, and 5 on Kauai. The 7-day positivity rate stands at a low 0.7%, with only 5 individuals hospitalized and none in intensive care. It appears vendor issues have been resolved, resulting in some of the best numbers we've seen. While flu activity is decreasing, Influenza B remains present. Overall, the situation looks promising, so let’s continue to take care

Looks like they figured out their vendor issues. The numbers look as good as they've ever been. Flu is coming down, but it's still out there. Influenza B is around still yet (its season is usually about now, later than the first flu season). But other than that, we look okay for now folks. Take care everyone!
