**COVID-19 Update for April 16, 2026** As we reflect on the current COVID-19 landscape, this week's data shows a total of 38 new cases across Hawaii, with 33 on Oahu, 1 in Maui County, 3 on Hawaii Island, and 1 on Kauai. The 7-day positivity rate has decreased to 0.5%, and hospitalizations remain low, with only 1 patient currently hospitalized and none in the ICU. Given the ongoing decline in cases, I am considering suspending these updates for the time being. However, I will remain vigilant and monitor the situation closely. Should we see a surge in cases or a significant positivity rate increase, I’ll resume these updates. Thank you for your continued vigilance, and stay safe, everyone!

So... I am thinking of suspending these for a while. Things have thankfully been quiet for a while. I am thinking that I'll keep an eye on things and if the cases go like >100 or something or positivity spikes or something like that that I'll start these up again.
