Catch the Pacific's Greatest Show: Timing Your Whale Season Escape

There's a moment each winter when the Pacific puts on a show you simply can't script. Humpback whales return to Hawaiian waters, breaching and blowing just offshore, and the timing is everything. Plan your escape between December and April, when the channel comes alive with their ancient migration. It's raw, it's rhythmic, and it's worth every early morning on the lanai. Pair that oceanfront spectacle with a round at one of the islands' unforgettable fairways, our guide to the best golf courses from the Big Island to Kauai helps you swing into the full island rhythm. Come for the whales, stay for the aloha. That's the elevated island life we're all about.
