Detour Alert: Omao Road Closure Impacts Poipu Access.

Heads up, travelers: the road to Poipu just got a little longer. Crews are shifting focus to Omao Road, but only after they wrap up work on Tree Tunnel Road. That means your usual shortcut is out, so you'll need to swing down to Lawai and double back along Koloa Road to reach the coast. It's a detour, sure, but think of it as a chance to slow down and soak in more of Kauai's rhythm. We love a smooth journey, but a little extra island time never hurts.
