Honoring Robert Trent Jones Jr with golf's highest design accolade

Golf's highest honor in design finds its way to an island architect who has always understood that a great course should feel like part of the land, not a decoration on top of it. Robert Trent Jones Jr. will receive the ASGCA Donald Ross Award, a well-earned nod to a career that shaped championship layouts while keeping a surfer's respect for the natural world. His work weaves strategy into scenery, challenging players without fighting the coastline, a philosophy that feels right at home here.
