Georgia + Armenia Trip

I’m planning a family trip next month and right now I’m thinking of going to Georgia. I also had the idea of adding Armenia by traveling there by road, so it becomes a two-country trip instead of just one.

I’m not sure if this is a good idea or if it would make the trip feel too rushed. For anyone who has been to both, is it worth doing Georgia and Armenia in one trip, or is it better to just focus on Georgia and explore it properly?

I also want to understand how the road trip between the two is, like how long it takes, how the border crossing is, and if it’s an easy and smooth experience overall.

Another option is to skip this plan completely and go somewhere else nearby instead, like Central Asia or somewhere like Serbia, but I haven’t really looked into those properly yet.

Any advice or experiences would help.
