Wego + Royal Jordanian refund issue after cancellations during regional conflict in Dubai

I booked a Royal Jordanian ticket through Wego for AED 2200.

On the travel day, there were serious regional security tensions affecting flights in the Gulf and many people were concerned about safety. Despite the risks and uncertainty, I still went to Dubai Airport because my flight was still showing as operating.

Only around 2 hours before departure, the flight was suddenly cancelled. No proper advance email, no clear warning, and poor communication.

Then I was automatically rescheduled to the next day without being properly offered a refund choice.

The next day, the flight was cancelled again with no proper communication.

Since March 23, Wego says they submitted my refund request, but until now no clear update. They are telling me I will receive only AED 1400 out of AED 2200 and cannot claim more.

How is a partial refund fair when the airline cancelled the flights and communication was extremely poor?

Has anyone dealt with Wego or Royal Jordanian in a similar situation? What is the best next step: chargeback, regulator complaint, or legal complaint
