Found the secret stash

Found the secret stash

Noticed my Olive Egger hadn’t been laying in the coop for the past week or so. Today I was hauling some stuff from the front yard to the back yard and one of my Lavender Orpingtons jumped out of this jungle that was behind some old window frames. I barely glanced and could see a pile of eggs. 7 olives and two from my lavenders in this spot.

My Olive Egger has been having conjugal visits with the next door neighbor’s rooster the past couple of weeks and he’s taken a liking to her specifically. I checked these eggs with a bright flashlight and didn’t see anything resembling development, plus she hasn’t been able to sit on them overnight since she goes into the coop at dusk. We check for eggs every couple of days so I am certain this spot is new and these eggs went into the fridge.

Cuddly lavender pic for a bonus
