Foundation too light

I bought a big bottle of foundation that was supposed to be my color, but i think it’s one shade too light. Specifically I ordered Estee Lauder Double Wear in Dawn, but I have a feeling it’s the shade below that I was given. I can’t return it and want to use it, but I’m not sure how to wear it so that it matches my skin tone better.

Should I buy a powder to put over? Mix with another foundation? What do you suggest ladies
