extract a subset of columns from one Excel file, paste into another file with a different schema, and have data types automatically match the destination
Hey there, I regularly download data exports with many columns, but only need a subset in a specific order for my master spreadsheet. When I try to paste only selected columns, Excel gives errors (ie. "We can't paste because the Copy area and paste area aren't the same size", even if I'm just selecting a single cell). I end up using Notepad++ as a workaround to strip formatting. Is there a tool for this, or is this just how it is?
