15 yo with fake lashes

My 15 year old daughter started occasionally wearing fake, glue on eyelashes a couple months ago and is now wearing them pretty much all the time. I am concerned that extended use will cause long term, possibly permanent, damage to the lash follicles. I’ve read up on it and it sounds like that’s more of a concern with lash extensions rather than glued on lashes, however it seems impossible that there wouldn’t be damage.

I’ve talked to her about my concerns and, as expected from a 15 year old, she doesn’t care and threw a huge fit when I said she may have to stop wearing them. I’ll pick this battle with her if needed but I was hoping to hear from people on this thread about their experiences with damage. TIA!
