Trying to find info on late grandfather's baritone ukulele
Our take
Hello! I'm reaching out in hopes of uncovering more information about a baritone ukulele that belonged to my late grandfather. He acquired this instrument while stationed in Hawaii during the Vietnam War, intending to play it with friends. I've cherished it for years, but my search for details has been challenging. I've examined the ukulele’s interior with a flashlight, but the only identifying mark is the name "Omni" on the headstock. Despite my efforts to find information online, I haven't had any luck so far. If anyone has insights, resources, or expertise related to this ukulele, I would greatly appreciate your assistance. Thank you for any help you can provide in honoring my grandfather's musical legacy!

My grandmother said it was from when he was stationed in Hawaii during the Vietnam war and bought it to play with friends. I have tried looking inside the body with a flashlight but other than the name "Omni" on the head, there is literally no other markings on it to help identify. And I've looked online but no luck so far. Any resources or insight would he greatly appreciated. [link] [comments] |
