Taxes done for free
Our take
Did you know that many residents of Kaua’i are unaware they can have their income taxes prepared for free? AARP volunteers, trained and certified through an IRS program, provide this valuable service without requiring membership or age restrictions. Whether you have W2s, 1099s, investments, or other income sources, qualified assistance is available. Visit your local library or the AARP website for schedules. Last year, nearly 475 returns were completed on Kaua’i, contributing to nearly two million nationwide. Don’t miss out on this opportunity!
It really surprises me how few people who live on Kaua’i know they can have their income taxes done for free by folks who get trained and certified thru an IRS program.
AARP volunteers will do taxes at no cost. You don’t have to be an AARP member. You don’t have to be kupuna. You can have W2, 1099, interest, dividends, investments and many other stuff.
