**Island Numbers Continue to Trend Downward: A Positive Update**

We're delighted to share some truly encouraging news from our beautiful islands. The latest figures reveal a continued downward trend in reported cases, a testament to the collective efforts and resilience of our community. This week, we saw just 45 new cases across the Hawaiian archipelago, with Oahu reporting 33, Maui County 4, Hawaii Island 3, and Kauai 5. The 7-day positivity rate stands at a remarkably low 0.7%, a figure that speaks volumes about the current landscape. Furthermore, the number of individuals hospitalized remains minimal, with only 5 currently admitted and none in intensive care. These statistics paint a picture of a healthy and vibrant island environment, allowing us to embrace the spirit of adventure and indulge in the elevated island lifestyle we cherish.

It appears the logistical challenges that may have impacted testing and reporting in the past have been successfully navigated, allowing for clearer and more consistent data. This clarity is incredibly welcome, and the numbers are as encouraging as we've seen them in some time. While the focus remains on these positive trends, it's also worth noting that the flu season is gradually subsiding. However, as is typical for this time of year, Influenza B is still circulating, reminding us that vigilance is always a wise companion. Nevertheless, the overall health outlook for our islands is exceptionally positive, inviting us to explore, discover, and experience the very best of what Hawaii has to offer.

This promising update allows us to look forward with optimism. The ability to gather, to share experiences, and to immerse ourselves in the authentic culture and natural beauty of our home is amplified when we know our community is thriving. We encourage everyone to continue embracing the spirit of adventure, to explore the vibrant flavors of our local cuisine, and to unwind in the luxurious, yet approachable, atmosphere that defines the Hanalei Bay Country Club experience. Let these positive numbers be a catalyst for your next island discovery, a reminder that authentic experiences and cultural engagement await. We are deeply grateful for the well-being of our islands and look forward to sharing them with you.

Looks like they figured out their vendor issues. The numbers look as good as they've ever been. Flu is coming down, but it's still out there. Influenza B is around still yet (its season is usually about now, later than the first flu season). But other than that, we look okay for now folks. Take care everyone!
