experiences with applying to civil service jobs through governmentjobs.com?
Our take
Are you navigating the civil service job application process in Oahu through governmentjobs.com? Many applicants, like yourself, have encountered similar experiences, particularly with the status of their applications. For instance, one user submitted an application in January, which has remained on the "placed on eligible list" since mid-February, with a validity until August. Another application submitted in March is still under review. This raises questions about the typical timeline for interviews and hiring decisions in this system. If you have insights or experiences to share regarding how long it took you to receive an interview or a job offer, your feedback could provide valuable guidance to others in the community facing similar uncertainties in their job search.
anyone in oahu specifically who has gone through the process of applying for a job through this website? i've applied to a civil service job in january, and my application has been on the "placed on eligible list" status since mid february (although i believe it said this status will be good until august). i also applied for another job in march, and my application is still being reviewed. how long on average did it take for u to get an interview/be hired? it doesnt seem normal that it should take this long--i have only heard from the state recruiting office and not the workplaces themselves.
