Ala Moana Beach Park is a beloved destination for many, but it’s important to remember that not all beaches are suitable for dogs. While the joy of having a furry friend by your side is undeniable, Ala Moana’s rules are in place for a reason. Recently, I witnessed a woman holding her dog to drink from the fountain at sunset, which raised eyebrows.
I love dogs, and I love the beach. But dogs don't belong on all beaches or in all beach parks. There are plenty of beaches where dogs are allowed. Ala Moana is not one of them. And what was with the lady at sunset tonight, holding her dog up to drink from the drinking fountain? So pilau.
